Been Verified is one of the easier platforms to use if you want to run public records searches for non-employment reasons. They offer a wide range of search options and a broad range of pay-to-access reports so that they can offer users access to as much information as possible.

However, because accessing these reports isn’t necessarily free, Been Verified does charge subscribers to be able to search. Since they use a subscription model, rather than a per-search fee, it’s important to know how you can cancel your subscription when you need to.

Here are the easiest ways to cancel your Been Verified membership, today.

    Been Verified Membership Cost Explained

Before we get to how you cancel your membership – first, you need to know what you’re paying for Been Verified, and what exactly you get for that subscription.

There are two subscription options through Been Verified. You get the same membership benefits regardless of which option you choose. The main difference is just how long you’re subscribed – and what that subscription costs each month.

You can sign up for a monthly subscription or a 3-month subscription. Both models automatically renew unless you cancel your subscription before the renewal date.

    1 Month Membership3 Month Membership
    Upfront Cost$26.86$52.44
    Cost Per Month$26.89$17.48

When you’re subscribed to Been Verified, you can perform up to 100 searches per month. There is no option to pay for additional monthly searches if you need them. You also can’t pay per search if you’re looking to perform just a couple of searches and don’t need an ongoing subscription.

You can cancel your subscription right after performing your searches if you do sign up for just a couple of searches. However, you will still be charged for your subscription, even if you cancel very quickly.

How Do I Cancel Your Been Verified Subscription?

The good news is that Been Verified does offer a few different ways to cancel your Been Verified account. Here are some of the easiest ways to cancel your Been Verified membership when you don’t need it anymore

Call Customer Service to Cancel Your Been Verified Account

One of the main ways to cancel your Been Verified account is to call their customer service. Customer service is available from 6 AM to 11:30 PM Eastern Time.

    1. Call customer service at 1-866-855-6480.

    2. Tell them you want to cancel your account.

    3. Provide all relevant account information to verify and cancel your subscription.

    4. Wait for a confirmation email verifying that your subscription is canceled.

Been Verified does not typically offer refunds for the remaining time in your subscription.

How To Cancel Your Been Verified Subscription By Emailing Support

As an alternative, you can also go to Been Verified’s contact us page to send an email to customer service. Here’s how:

    1. Go to www.beenverified.com/contact

    2. In the middle of the page, there is an email contact form; choose the topic for your email from the dropdown menu in that contact form. Cancel My Account is the topic you want to end your subscription.

    3. In the email address section of the form, use the email associated with your Been Verified Account! While you can technically use a different email, it can make the process more complicated.

    4. In the message box, include why you’re emailing (canceling your account), and the account information to verify your account.

    5. Keep an eye on your email inbox for a reply. You may need to provide additional information or confirm that you want to cancel your account when you use this method.

    6. Wait for a confirmation email that your account has been canceled. Don’t assume that your account has been canceled if you don’t get a confirmation email – you may wind up getting charged again.

Canceling Your Been Verified Subscription Through The Apple App Store

If you originally signed up to Been Verified through the app on the Apple App Store, you may also want to cancel your membership there. Fortunately, you can do exactly that!

    1. Go to the settings on your Apple device and sign in with your Apple ID if you aren’t already signed in.

    2. Go to your subscriptions tab.

    3. Choose the subscription you want to cancel (Been Verified) and hit the cancel button.

    4. If you don’t see a cancel button, the subscription is already canceled. A red expiration date also means that the subscription has been canceled.

    5. Check the email address associated with your Apple account to make sure you received a cancellation confirmation email to be sure.

More You Need To Know About Been Verified Subscriptions

There are just a few more things you need to know about Been Verified subscriptions, so let’s answer a couple of quick questions before we wrap up.

Can I Downgrade Or Change My Been Verified Membership Plan?

You can always cancel your Been Verified subscription, but there isn’t really an option to modify your subscription right now. All subscribers receive the same benefits for the same costs, and Been Verified hasn’t offered a multi-tier subscription plan or the option to pay as you go.

Do You Get Access To Been Verified On Your Mobile Device When You Subscribe?

Yes, Been Verified is available through iOS and Android app stores, and can also be accessed through mobile browsers as well. Whether you want to use the app version of Been Verified, or the mobile version of the main website is just a matter of personal preference.

    Final Thoughts

Been Verified offers a couple of different options for canceling your subscription, and the process is relatively straightforward. That said, it is important to get that confirmation email after you cancel your subscription; otherwise, your cancellation might not have gone through, and your subscription may still auto-renew.

As with any subscription, it’s also a good idea to keep an eye on your bank account to make sure you don’t have any additional charges next month. The good news is that you should still be able to use Been Verified’s services through the remainder of your subscription period.
